Tableau is easy-to-use business intelligence software used for data analysis, providing visual tools to help you see and understand your data. Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep is available for instructors for free. Licenses can be requested online and you will be sent an email with a product key that is valid for one year. You may reapply for a new key once it expires every year you are an instructor.

To qualify for free licenses through the Tableau for Teaching program, you must teach at an accredited academic institution and/or conduct noncommercial academic research at an accredited academic institution.
If you are conducting commercial academic research, you will need to purchase the Tableau software directly through the manufacturer's website. By clicking the "Special Request" button located on the top right, you will be redirected to Tableau's website to submit more information on your needs to their sales team.
